In 1939 Patrick Gerard Caslin, from Sixmilebridge, Co. Clare, Eire, was a Metropolitan Police Constable, warrant number 127627, residing in the Section House adjacent to Stoke Newington Police Station. He volunteered for the Commandos in 1942 and was likely part of the Metropolitan Police contingent that attended the 1st Police Intake Course at the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry.
Attached to No.2 Commando. Active service in the Meditteranean theatre of war. Class 'B' Release 12 October 1945 and re-joined the Police. Member of the Commando Association.
