Lance Corporal Nicholas Coleman, M.M., was reported missing 2 June 1941 during operations in Crete. Later found to have been captured and transported to Stalag 4B in Germany [1][2].
- A Labourer from West Hartlepool he was attested on 21 October 1933 aged 18 years 11 months [3].
- 1940 awarded the Military Medal whilst serving with the 3rd Bn., Coldstream Guards, in recognition of gallant and distinguished service on 3 September 1940 in the Western Desert [4].
