Neil Oughtred 2 Commando
Lieutenant Neil Oughtred joined No.2 Commando on 7 September 1941. On 27/28 March 1942 he was one of the commando contingent embarked on Motor Launch ML 446 for Operation Chariot, the raid at St Nazaire 28 March 1942. Wounded during the raid and evacuated back to the UK. He rejoined No.2 Commando, rank Captain.
Mentioned in Despatches in December 1940 for good service at Dunkirk. Post war practiced as a Solicitor. Member of the Commando Association residing Chorleywood.
