Service: 29 April 1942 - 03 May 1946.
Training for commando service commenced in January 1943 at HMS Quebec and HMS Armadillo. Posted Royal Naval Beach Commando 'Nan' from 1 April 1943 until 30 November 1945. For much of that time he served in N1 Section as per the victualling record but is also shown in N2 section on a list compiled by veterans. Active service included amongst others Sicily, Italy, and the Adriatic. Released to Shore Class 'A' 3 May 1946.
