Leslie George Marsh MC RM
Captain Leslie Marsh, a veteran of service with 40RM Commando in WW2, was awarded the Military Cross for gallant and distinguished service on 29 November 1950 in the Korean War during the Battle of Chosin Reservoir. He was wounded during this operation.
  • January 1945, Lieutenant, 40RM Commando 'Q' Troop.
  • 29 November 1950, Captain, 41 Independent Commando, wounded during operations at Chosin Reservoir, Korea.
  • Remained in military service taking part in operations at Borneo, Suez, and Aden, retiring with the rank of Brigadier.
