Private Kurt Gumpertz, a German national, died of wounds during operations in Normandy, France, whilst attached to No 4 Commando.  He served in 3 troop, also known as 'X' troop, of the inter allied commando under the alias of Kenneth Graham. Son of Karl Wilhelm and Else, husband of Elisabeth of Highbury, London.
