John Sutton 47RM Commando
John Ormerod Sutton joined the Royal Marines aged 18 from Bradfield College under the 'Y' Scheme for potential RN/RM Officer commissions. In September 1944 he was posted to the Holding Operational Commando of Commando Group as a Temporary Second Lieutenant immediately before joining 47RM Commando. He served in 47RM Commando until 26 July 1945. After the war ended he was released from service on 20 August 1946.
Resided Hampshire employed as a Solicitor in Winchester.
