Cemetery/Memorial: 
Captain Sceales had served as Officer Commanding 7 troop whilst attached to the Commando before rejoining his Regiment. 
Promoted Major he was reported wounded in 1944 during operations in Italy. On 12 May 1944 it was further reported that he was dangerously ill [1]
On 2 September 1944 he was reported missing in action during operations in Italy, later confirmed killed in action [2]
He is named on the casualty lists from the 1st Bn., Argyll and Sutherland regimental history for their period at Cassino.
Son of Colonel George Adinston MacLaren Sceales, D.S.O., and Evelyn Lily May Sceales, of Cliffs End, Kent.
