Captain Philip Pinckney was executed whilst a prisoner of war. At the time he was serving with 2 SAS and had been captured on Operation Speedwell after parachuting with 6 others into Bologna, Italy. The aim of the operation was to disrupt enemy railway movements.

Lieutenant Anthony Robinson died of wounds in Italy. Son of Guy Denzil Robinson and Sydney Sophia Robinson, of Bishopstoke, Eastleigh, Hampshire.

Captain Sceales had served as Officer Commanding 7 troop whilst attached to the Commando before rejoining his Regiment. 
Promoted Major he was reported wounded in 1944 during operations in Italy. On 12 May 1944 it was further reported that he was dangerously ill [1]
