Signalman James Norton, 1 Special Service (Commando) Brigade Signals, was wounded during the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944. He received a 21st Army Group Certificate for Gallantry. Post war resided Hunstanton Norfolk and was a well respected member of the community as seen in the newspaper obituary below.
