Recommendation
During the assault on Port en Bessin on 7th June Mne. Griffin's section came under fire from an enemy machine gun. The remainder of the section went to ground but Mne Griffin immediately went forward alone and capured the occupants of the post. Throughout the assault Mne Griffin was always in the thick of the fray, always cheerful.
