Gunner John Ibinson served in No. 6 Commando. Post war John, aged 33 and from 64 Phoenix Avenue, Gedling, died in a coal mining accident at Gedling Colliery, Nottinghamshire, when struck by a large stone which fell as he struck a blow on the coal face. The Coroner at the Inquest recorded a verdict of accidental death.
