Served for over two years in No.4 Commando. Member of the Commando Association.

1954 employed as the Pastor at the Bethel Baptist Church in the Dock are of Cardiff.  In 1957 he was a Missionary with the Baptist Missionary Society in Colombo, Ceylon. By 1965 he had returned and was employed teaching at a school in Llanishen, Cardiff.  Later awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and in 1973 was employed as a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology, at the University of Keele, Staffs.
