Private Woollard, No.1 Commando 6 Troop, was wounded 31 January 1945 during operations at Kangaw, Burma (Hill 170). Previously served in No.12 Commando.
George Woollard, a Liverpool City Police Constable, collar number 118D, volunteered for the Commandos in 1942 joining the 2nd Police Intake at the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry. Member of the Commando Association residing Gateacre, Liverpool.
