Honours & Awards:
Sergeant George Wilson was one of the first to volunteer for Special Service joining No.6 Independent Company in April 1940. He served in No.9 Commando from its formation and by April 1945 was the Signal Sergeant. He was awarded the Military Medal in recognition of gallant and distinguished service during Operation Roast at Lake Comacchio, Italy.
