Fusilier Geoffrey McIver was wounded 6 June 1944 during operations at Normandy, France. 
In 1939 Geoffrey was a Metropolitan Police Constable residing at the Police Section House, 98 Tottenham Lane, Hornsey. He volunteered for the Commandos from the Metropolitan Police as part of the 1st Police Intake in 1942 and rejoined the Police after hostilities ended.
He was serving as a Police Constable at the time of his death in 1961.
