Frank Lockwood enlisted 23 July 1942 this date being that of the 2nd Police Intake to the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry. Transferred to No.4 Commando 24 September 1942. Returned to the Royal Artillery 1 January 1944 joining the Heavy Anti Aircraft Regiment, RA.
