Private Francis Kelly, from Dovecot, Liverpool, was reported missing on 28 March 1942 after Operation Chariot at St. Nazaire, later presumed died of wounds. Son of Joseph and Mary Kelly, of Liverpool. Private Kelly, a bricklayer before enlisting, embarked for the raid on MGB 314 and had previously taken part in Operation Archery at Vaagso, Norway.
