Fusilier Ernest Jackson was wounded June 1944 during operations in Normandy, France.
He volunteered for the Commandos from the Police. In 1939 he was a Police Constable residing at the Police Section House, Crawford Place, Marylebone, London. Post war member of the Commando Association who record his final military rank as lance Corporal.
