Lieutenant (Temporary Captain) Douglas Arthur Robinson was awarded the Military Cross [1], in recognition of gallant and distinguished services on 26 February 1943 at Fedi Et Attia, Tunisia [2], in the action that became known as the Battle of Steamroller Farm.
 
On 13 June 1970 he was appointed MBE (Civil Division) when Technical Director of the Road Surface Dressing Association [3].
