Enlsited 28 August 1933. Regular Soldier from Littlehampton, Sussex. Attached to 52 Middle East Commando which was merged with 50 Middle East Commando to form 'D' Battallion of Layforce for operations in Crete. Captured 1 June 1941 Crete. Forced labour in Working Camps including a Stone Quarry, a Cement Factory, and a Sawmill. Two escapes attempted but recaptured on both occasions. Repatriated to UK 1945 residing Littlehampton, Sussex.
