Private D.A. Young  was reported missing believed prisoner of war on 2 June 1941 during operations in Crete. Later found to be imprisoned at Stalag 4B.

Notes
He is shown on CasLists as 3 SS Bn., The Special Service Bn's. were a short lived unit designation.  3 SS Bn. was formed from Nos.4 and 7 Commando but they reverted back to their Commando designations during the period No.7 left for the Middle East as part of Layforce. Several of the Royal Warwickshires from No.4 Commando did also remain to become part of Layforce.
