Bombardier Charles Featherstone served in the HQ of No.10 (Inter Allied) Commando. Charles volunteered for the Commandos from the Police. In 1939 he was a Police Constable residing in Kingston upon Hull with his parents. His father Arthur was a retired Police Inspector.
He rejoined the Police after the war and by 1967 was a Police Inspector in the Hull City Police. Post war member of the Commando Association.
