"Second Lieutenant Cecil Sandbach, son of Mr and Mrs. J. Sandbach of Plas Newydd, Pooltown Road, Ellesmere Port, has been taken prisoner in the Middle East. Serving with the Cheshire Regiment he was formerly in the Cheshire Yeomanry."
