Marine Damian Davies, Landing Force Support Party (LFSP), died as a result of a suspected suicide bomb attack south of Sangin, Afghanistan.  At the time of his death he was on patrol with X-Ray Company, 45 Commando Group, Royal Marines.

Corporal Robert Deering died when shortly after 0715hrs a Viking armoured personnel carrier was involved in an explosion west of Lashkar Gah in Helmand Province, injuring three other personnel and disabling the vehicle.

Lance Corporal Michael Younghusband died whilst crossing a railway line in the early hours of December 10th. He had completed his training at the CTCRM in October 2012 and joined 42 Commando.  In 2014 he moved to the Commando Logistic Regt. RM at Chivenor.
