Notes
The CWGC list his Unit as 4 Special Service Bn. This was a very short lived title re-designation of amongst others No.8 Commando and was no longer in use at the time of his death. Casualty Records list him as 4 SS Bn. attached 'B' Bn Layforce. This was formed of No 8 Commando.
