46RM Commando Nominal Roll

The nominal roll of those who served in No.46 Royal Marine Commando, Royal Marines, is listed by order of surname. The names are primarily compiled from the booklet issued to Veterans in 1946 entitled "The Story of 46 Commando, Royal Marines, by Captain P.K.W. Johnson, RM". The author specifies the Nominal Roll is of those who served between 6th June 1944 and 8th May 1945. However additional names will be added in the future whenever an individual's Commando Service has been established.

In the absence of any detail on our website, If you wish a name added to this Nominal Roll, you must first provide to us evidence that establishes Commando service. Not all Royal Marines were Commando trained in WW2. Methods of establishing such service can be varied from service records, official letter or other document where it is mentioned, a photo showing commando insignia, books, etc.  Anecdotal evidence is not sufficient.
