Private Ernest Ostick, 'F' Troop, was wounded 20 August 1944 during operations at Normandy.
In 1939 Ernest Ostick was a Police Constable, married, and residing with his wife Mary at Tanfield Road, Manchester. He volunteered for the commandos in 1942 and was posted to the 2nd Police Intake at the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre) at Achnacarry. After completing his training he was posted to No.4 Commando. Post war member of the Commando Association residing Macclesfield, Cheshire.
