Corporal Horace White was wounded 6 June 1944 during operations in Normandy, France.
In 1939 he was single and a Police Constable residing at the Police Section House, Medway House, Bermondsey. He subsequently volunteered for the Commandos and was part of the 1st Police Intake of 1942. Post war member of the Commando Association from Bromley. They record his military rank as Sergeant.
