Employed as a member of the Police Messenger Service at Merrow until commencement of military service 19 October 1944. Served in the Armed Forces until 18 December 1947. During his service he volunteered for the Commandos. Joined Surrey Constabulary 20 October 1949. Served for 30 years before retiring on pension as an Inspector. Member of the Commando Association last known residing Chobham, Surrey.
