Operations:
Arthur George Martin, a Market Gardener from Sandwich, Kent, enlisted in the Royal Marines on 8 October 1941. Joined 45RM Commando sometime after its formation which was in August 1943. Marine Martin was reported missing later confirmed prisoner of war 28 January 1945 during operations along the River Maas at Bell Isle, Osen, Netherlands.
