Privates James Innes was wounded on 5 October 1943 during operations at Termoli, Italy.
James Fraser Innes was a Police Constable in Larbert who volunteered for the Commandos in 1942. He enlisted in the General Service Corps and was posted to the 3rd Police Intake which commenced 15 October 1942 at the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre) at Achnacarry. On completion of his training he was nominally transferred to the Seaforth Highlanders and posted to No.3 Commando.
