Harry Johnson, aged 19 and a former miner from Durham, was attested  into the Royal Artillery on 9 January 1928 [1][2].
  • 04 March 1941 (4 Troop) Lofoten Raiding Party, Norway (Operation Claymore) [3].
  • 27 December 1941 (Lance Sergeant) (4 Troop) wounded during Operation Archery at Vaagso, Norway [4].
  • 14 July 1943 (Sergeant) (4 Troop) wounded during operations at Agnone, Sicily, and the bridge at Malati (3 Commando bridge) [5].
  • 17 July 1944 to Pioneer Corps [1].
  • Member of the Commando Association [6].
