Colour Sergeant Arthur Cornish died of wounds on 12 July 1943 on board H.M.H.S. St. David and was buried at sea. He had received a gunshot wound to his spine on 10 July 1943 during operations at Sicily. Son of Arthur and Ethel Rose Cornish, of Leytonstone, London.
