"22 February 1943 PM - Lieutenant A.D. Lewis and 15 Other Ranks act as a protective patrol to 1 Forward Observation Officer (Captain G Parker-Benfield RA) and one signaller. Patrol encounters enemy patrol 40 to 60 strong face to face. A short engagement ensues and both patrols withdraw. One other rank (Sergeant Lenihan RA) is killed. Casualties are inflicted on the enemy."
