Lieutenant Michael Style, attached to 47RM Commando, was killed by stick grenades thrown by the enemy whilst he was attacking Battery W11 South East of Zouteland, Walcheren.
Educated at Queen Elizabeth's Grammar School, Wimborne. Married Margaret Mary Oliver on 5 September 1938 St Michael's Church, Paddington. Commissioned 14 January 1940. Father of Jill born 1940. Son of Clare and Arthur Hurrell Style, M.A., M.B. Grandson of Reverend G. Style, formerly Chairman of Queen Elizabeth's School Governors.
