Gunner Bernard Riley was attested into the Royal Artillery in 1940 and later volunteered for the commandos. Gunner Riley, No.2 Commando, was first wounded 9 September 1943 during operations at Salerno, Italy. Promoted Acting Lance Bombardier he was wounded a second time 29/30 July 1944 during operations at Spilje Bay, Albania. Member of the Commando Association last known residing Wythenshaw, Manchester.
