Private Holt, No.3 Commando, was one of many casualties in 1943. From the week ending 25 September 1943 to 30 October 1943 he was at 7 Casualty Clearing Station, Vibo Valentia, Italy.
Albert Hunt Holt joined Cheshire Constabulary April 1937. In 1939 he was a Police Constable residing in Golborne. Volunteered for the commandos 1942. Enlisted 23 July 1942. Posted 2nd Police Intake, Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry. Posted to No.3 Commando on completion of course. Discharged 9 November 1944. Rejoned Cheshire Constabulary 10 November 1944. Promoted Police Sergeant 1953. Retired on pension 1968.
