Private Santiago Cevantes, a Spanish volunteer attached to 'D' Bn. Layforce, was reported missing 2 June 1941 during operations in Crete, later found to have been captured the previous day and a prisoner of war until liberation in 1945.
On 20 May 1945 he listed his address as 13 Elm Street, Rhydyfelin, Pontypridd (South Wales) and his occupation as Farmer.
