CAMERON, Ralph Alverne Cyril

No 9 Commando
Captain Ralph Cameron was awarded the Military Cross [1] in recognition of gallant and distinguished service whilst in charge of 2 troops whose task was to destroy an enemy post near a demolished bridge West of the River Garigliano, Italy, on the night of 29/20 December 1943 during Operation Partridge [2].
4 July 1947 awarded the Territorial Efficiency Medal (rank shown as Captain (Honorary Major) (Q.O.C.H.) and later the Territorial Decoration [3].

CLUBE, Gordon Murray

Brigade Signals
Lieutenant Gordon Clube served in 1 Special Service Brigade Signals [1].
  • 11 November 1939 (Private) (Artists Rifles) commissioned Second Lieutenant [2].
  • 3 February 1944 relinquishes his commission on account of ill-health, and is granted the hon. rank of Lt [3].

SELERI, Peter Alexander Shaw

Middle East Commando
Awarded the Silver Star Medal for gallant and distinguished service during operations in Germany on 18 November 1944 having left the commando* and now serving 8th Armoured Brigade Group [1][2].

WILSON, Robert

No 8 Commando
Gunner Robert Wilson was commissioned Second Lieutenant on 2 September 1939 [1]. After volunteering for the Commandos he joined the folbot section of No.8 Commando, prior to a move to the Special Boat Section in the Middle East.
