KIRBY, William John

Fusilier William Kirby was wounded June 1944 during operations in Normandy, France.
He volunteered for the Commandos from the Police. In 1939 he was a Metropolitan Police Officer serving at the Police Station, High Street, Stoke Newington. Post war member of the Commando Association residing in Clapton before moving to Stamford, Lincolnshire.
