Private William Tudor was killed in action during operations at the Anzio beachhead, Italy.
Son of John J. and Emma A. Tudor, of Clive, Shropshire [1][2][3].
Previously wounded 30 December 1943 (Operation Partridge), Italy [4].
2 May 1938 joined Cheshire Constabulary; 1939 Police Constable residing at Ernest Street, Crewe; 1942 volunteered for the Commandos, part of the Police Intakes to the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre), Achnacarry; named on the Cheshire Constabulary War Memorial Plaque at Constabulary HQ, Winsford, Cheshire.
