Ronald Ernest Lovell was a Bedfordshire Police Officer who volunteered for the Commandos in 1942 as part of the 2nd Police Intake to the Commando Depot (Commando Basic Training Centre) at Achnacarry. Active service included in Burma with 2 Special Boat Section. Post war he re-joined the Police.
Police service
16.08.1936 joined the Bedfordshire Constabulary.
22.11.1945 re-joined the Bedfordshire Constabulary and became a Traffic Patrol Officer.
22.10.1967 retired on pension rank Constable.
