Robert Peter Madra was residing in Beverley, Yorkshire, in 1939 employed as an Oxy Acetaline Welder. He joined the Liverpool City Police on 14 February 1941 as Constable 116C and after volunteering for the Commandos he was released to the Army on 23 July 1942 joining the 2nd Police Intake to the Commando Depot. After completing his training he was attached to No.6 Commando serving in 'C' Troop and later the HQ Troop. After the war he rejoined the Liverpool City Police retiring 8 March 1971. Member of the Commando Association from Liverpool.
