Robert Fowler 11 Commando
Robert Fowler enlisted into the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders on 18 October 1939, civil occupation - Enameller. Private Fowler later volunteered for the Commandos and was attached to No.11 Commando 10 Troop embarking with them for the Middle East as part of Layforce. He was reported missing later confirmed a prisoner of war 20 November 1941 during operations at Cyrenaica. During his captivity at Stalag IVA he was in a working camp at Freital, Dresden, unloading wagons.
