Lieutenant Robert Cory, 'A' troop, and others from his section including Mne's. Wales and Wheeler, were wounded by enemy machine gun fire 23 January 1945 during operations at Brachterbeek. Marine Frederick Wales later died of his wounds.
  • Lieutenant Cory also served at Commando Group.
  • 21 November 1945 promoted Acting Captain.*
  • 16 February 1949 promoted Captain.**
  • Post war member of the Commando Association from Suffolk.
