Fusilier Peter Lambert was wounded 1 November 1944 during operations at Walcheren, The Netherlands.
Extract from Commando Association newsletter 14
"Members of 4 Cdo will be pleased to learn that Fus. P. L. Lambert (wounded at Walcheren) is making steady progress after many periods in hospital and a very serious operation".
- In 1939 he was a Police Officer serving at Stoke Newington Police Station.
- Volunteered for the Commandos and was part of the 1st Police Intake of 1942.
- Member of the Commando Association residing Garrison Lane, Chessington in 1952.
