- Not to be confused with the LCpl. N. Capstick who served in No.1 Cdo. Post war from Standish, near Wigan (LL3).
- In 1948 there was a Pc Norman Capstick serving in 'B' Division of the Liverpool City Police as reported in the Liverpool Echo newspaper of 6 Aug.1948. Not known as yet if one and the same.
