Craftsman Joseph Winterbottom was wounded twice during operations with No. 6 Commando, first on 24 January 1945 and again on 24 March 1945. The former was during operations at Montfortbeek, Maasbracht; the latter during operations at the crossing of the River Rhine at Wesel (Operation Widgeon).
Post war member of the Commando Association from Hull.
