Private John Nelson was posted to the Commando Depot 7 January 1944 and attached to No.6 Commando 15 February 1944. Served in 2 Troop. Also served with 47RM Commando at some stage. Appointed Lance Corporal 31 March 1945. Appointed Acting Corporal 18 October 1945. Service with the Colours 02.09.1939 - 08.09.1952. Post war member of the Commando Association who emigrated to Australia.
